| It is tea time at the home of a shaykh, or tribal elder, in a Draa Valley village in southern Morocco.
The shaykh is holding up an identification card of which he is particularly pleased: it is his "Green Card," which in Morocco indicates that the bearer participated in the "Green March" in 1975. The Green March was the massing of 250,000 civilian Moroccans on the borders of what was then known as the Spanish Sahara in a mass peaceful effort to take the territory for Morocco.
