Rural abandonment
Hegben Lake, Montana (1986)
This area has seen a massive fall-off in its agricultural produce of late, as residents attempt to attrack tourist dollars into the environs of Yellowstone National Park without a whole lot of success. The outcome is many abandoned buildings, the symptoms of former residents who feel compelled by dwindling economic fortunes to scram to more fruitful plains.
