Tacky Scottsdale

To say that nothing exceeds like excess is just about sufficient to define Scottsdale and this scene. A notably wealthy enclave in northern Phoenix, Scottsdale boasts one of the highest concentrations of golf courses in the United States (per capita), and it is a place manifestly created by a plentiful water supply that is wrung from the Colorado River and from Valley of the Sun groundwater. Yet the city (and its environs) grow quickly, as people join the sprint for the scenery.
