High-tension
Black Mesa, Arizona (1986)
Power moving off from coal power plants and from the turbines at Glen Canyon Dam are very much in evidence here. These dramatic giants, carry huge voltages (the power travels more efficiently, the higher the voltage, with less transmission loss) and in general move power in straight lines from energy sources to distant cities, in this case, to Phoenix and Los Angeles.
