Kendo is one of the oldest of several martial arts studied in Japan. Kendo involves dueling between two people who are each equipped with a sword-like stave made of bamboo.

These Kendo students are from ages 6 to 60. The class will focus on technique as well as the philosophy and tradition of Kendo.

I felt the atmosphere that grew tense here.
