Ballycopeland Windmill is in the heart of the picturesque Ards Peninsula near the sleepy village of Millisle, minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of other nearby towns such as Belfast. Restored to full working order, this late-18th century corn mill, for flour and animal feed, with its miller's house and associated buildings gives a unique insight into a lost industry. The McGilton family worked the windmill until the 1914-18 War; thankfully they saved the windmill and gave it to the state so that we can enjoy it today. The panorama was shot in the falling light of a mid September evening and hopefully expresses the quiet charm of that evening... http://www.ehsni.gov.uk/places/monuments/ballycopeland.shtml
