One of the most famous locations in the history of transportation is the Outer Banks of North Carolina where Wilbur and Orville Wright achieved the first successful airplane flight in 1903. This panorama of instructors from Kitty Hawk Kites giving hang-gliding lessons at Jockey's Ridge State Park in Nags Head, North Carolina is very close to the Wright Brothers' historic site. Jockey's Ridge is the tallest natural sand dune system in the Eastern United States. For more info on the Outer Banks dunes or the Wright Brothers Memorial check out these sites: Jockey's Ridge State Park Wright Brothers National Memorial
